ICAO/EASA Second Forum on Regional Safety Oversight Organizations (RSOOs) for Global Aviation Safety
Nairobi, Kenya - 10-12 October 2023
The ICAO/EASA Second Forum on Regional Safety Oversight Organizations (RSOOs) for Global Aviation Safety took place in Nairobi, Kenya from 10 to 12 October 2023.
Two representatives of RSOOs in LAC attended the event with the support of the EU LAC APP II project.
This event aimed to keep the momentum created by States, RSOOs and ICAO during previous ICAO high-level events (40th and 41st Sessions of the Assembly, High‑level Conference on COVID-19) and the ICAO/EASA Conference on Strengthening Regional Cooperation (SRCC2022).
José Peña from SRVSOP intervened as panellist on the panel titled "RSOOs today". José Rodríguez from ACSA intervened as panellist on the panel titled "Challenges being faced by RSOOs".
Both interventions were praised and references to EU LAC APP II project was quoted as instrumental in many areas for their organisations.
