Cybersecurity in Aviation and ATM insights

The workshop was held online on 3rd and 4th December 2024 to the Central American States. EASA senior expert on Cybersecurity in Aviation, Mr Davide Martini shared with the participants the EU experience in aviation cybersecurity, including the challenges and threats encountered, as well as the regulatory responses formulated. The expert also demonstrated the implications of security breaches on aviation safety and the potential operational disruptions they can cause.

The workshop allowed the participants to improve their awareness and understanding of the critical nature of cybersecurity in aviation, to establish a framework for the identification and protection of safety critical ICT systems in aviation, based on risk assessments, and to understand and use best practices and measures such as security by design and information security risk management system.
